Кормление грудью защищает матерей от рецидивов рассеянного склероза
Американские ученые обнаружили, что кормление ребенка грудью снижает вероятность рецидива рассеянного склероза у матери, страдающей этим заболеванием.
Исследователи из Американской академии неврологии наблюдали за 32 беременными женщинами с рассеянным склерозом до того момента, как их детям исполнялся один год. Наблюдение включало медицинские осмотры и опросы о кормлении грудью и режиме менструальных циклов.
Выяснилось, что 52 процента женщин не кормили детей грудью. Основной причиной этого было возобновление приема препаратов для лечения рассеянного склероза. У 87 процентов женщин из этой группы наблюдались рецидивы заболевания в первый год после родов. У тех, чьи дети питались только материнским молоком по меньшей мере до двухмесячного возраста, частота рецидивов составила лишь 36 процентов.
На основании полученных результатов исследователи рекомендуют женщинам с рассеянным склерозом кормить детей грудью вместо раннего возобновления приема лекарств.
